Portland, Oregon has many
great bicycle paths as well. A path has been added to many bridges,
including the Steel Bridge across Willamette River. This bridge does
many things. It lifts, to let river traffic through, carries trains
bikes and pedestrians on lower deck. Light rail cars and trucks use
upper deck. Built in 1912 the old structure has been retrofitted
to do many things.
