Road cut through dolomite rock

Central Wisconsin hill country.  Glaciers did not scour this part of Wisconsin flat.  It remained hilly.  For some reason, glaciers missed it during last ice age.  Lots of rock outcrops.  Early roads and railroads cut through these hillsides.  Some were dug by hand and pickax.
