It only takes seconds to make it through Harvard

Harvard, Idaho that is.  It is a real dinky town.  They don't give you a degree at the other end.  I went through Harvard on my 1997 bicycle tour around the Pacific northwest.

Just before Harvard is White Pine Drive along Idaho Highway 6
north of Moscow.

Going through that area again in 2005.

Great white pine is no more
Image taken 2005

This western white pine was once said to be tallest white pine in the world, or at least the USA, or maybe just Idaho.
Must have lived a good life until, I think, the bugs got to it.  Going back to the soil and forest.

While it was still alive, the great white pine was a stopping point for our family car when I was growing up in Pullman, WA.
